Charity Recruit is delighted to be partnering with a well-established charity that supports people with learning disabilities and mental health needs across the South East. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Advisor to join a busy and evolving People team during a period of significant organisational change and development.
Supporting approximately 600 employees and advising around 30 managers, you will play a key role in delivering professional, pragmatic and people-focused HR support across the organisation. Reporting to the People Manager and working closely with the wider People team, you will provide expert advice on a broad range of employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management, probation, flexible working and capability issues. You will also support recruitment activity, helping managers attract and appoint talented individuals who share the organisation's values and commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and professional HR advice to managers on employee relations matters.
- Support managers through disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance processes.
- Assist with recruitment campaigns, advertising, interviewing and selection processes.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation.
- Support organisational change projects and people initiatives.
- Liaise with payroll, occupational health and external providers as required.
- Contribute to the review and development of HR policies and procedures.
We are keen to speak with HR professionals who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a People Advisor, HR Advisor or equivalent generalist HR role.
- Strong employee relations knowledge and experience.
- Up-to-date understanding of UK employment legislation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a genuine passion for supporting people.
Experience within the charity, social care, healthcare or not-for-profit sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
