We are delighted to be supporting a well-respected national charity in the recruitment of a Senior Philanthropy Officer / Major Gifts Officer to join their successful philanthropy team. This home-based role offers the opportunity to manage an established portfolio of major donors across Scotland, building meaningful relationships with supporters and delivering an exceptional donor experience.

Working four days per week on a 9-month fixed-term contract, this position would suit an experienced relationship fundraiser who enjoys donor stewardship, major donor fundraising and developing long-term supporter relationships. While this is a fixed-term opportunity, the organisation has a strong track record of retaining talented fundraisers where opportunities arise.

The Role

You will manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, delivering exceptional stewardship and building long-term relationships with individuals capable of making significant gifts. Working as part of a national philanthropy team, you will engage supporters through personalised communications, meetings and events, ensuring every donor feels valued and connected to the organisation's mission. Whilst the portfolio includes opportunities to secure new gifts, the immediate priority is maintaining excellent supporter relationships and ensuring donors receive an outstanding experience. You will be encouraged to identify opportunities to grow supporter engagement and income where appropriate, whilst ensuring the existing portfolio continues to receive first-class stewardship.

About You
