Project Coordinator
Location: Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Wakefield. Office-based role. There is free parking on site and free bus service from Wakefield station for the staff.
Duration: Temporary, 3 to 4 months
Pay: £16.48 per hour plus £2.40 per hour holiday pay up to £19.78 per hour plus £2.88 per hour holiday pay (equivalent to £30,000-£36,000 FTE per annum, dependent on experience)
Hours of work: 9 AM – 5PM, flexible schedule available around core hours of 10AM – 4PM
Part time: 2 to 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday)
Charity People is delighted to be partnering with Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP) to recruit a Project Coordinator to support the Director in delivering a range of exciting and varied projects across the organisation.

About the Role
This is a hands-on role supporting the Director with the coordination and delivery of key projects and initiatives across YSP. You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation, helping to drive progress, streamline processes, and ensure effective communication and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of internal projects such as visual display screens, intranet development, and event renaming
- Support planning for YSP’s 50th anniversary, capturing ideas and coordinating meetings
- Gather and organise information for funding bids and internal reporting
- Analyse data for reports (e.g. visitor trends, EDI data) and present findings clearly
- Maintain and improve file structures and documentation systems
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to support initiatives like ticketing offers
- Organise meetings and prepare briefings for external visits
- Ensure action plans and central documents are kept up to date
About You
We’re looking for a proactive and organised individual with:
- Strong project coordination and administration experience
- Excellent planning, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and data analysis
- A flexible, solutions-focused approach to changing priorities
- Confidence working independently and across multiple teams
- Experience handling confidential information with discretion
