Charity People is delighted to be partnering with a youth mental health charity to recruit for their next Business Support Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK's leading mental health charities in a varied and rewarding role that sits at the heart of the organisation's day-to-day operations. About the charity: The charity is the UK's leading charity fighting for children and young people's mental health. The organisation works to ensure every young person gets the mental health support they need, when they need it. Behind that mission is a dedicated team of around 100 colleagues working across the UK. This role plays an important part in ensuring staff have the safe, efficient and welcoming working environment they need to do their best work.
Salary: £34,465 (FTE) and so £17,232.50 pro rata
Hours: 17.5 hours per week

This role requires a regular office presence and would suit someone who enjoys being part of a workplace environment. The successful candidate will need to be in the office for a minimum of two mornings each week, with flexibility around how the remaining hours are worked. Many colleagues choose to spread their hours across three or four days.
The Role: This is a broad operational support role that combines office coordination, IT administration, facilities support and health & safety responsibilities. You'll be responsible for ensuring colleagues have the equipment, resources and support they need while helping maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the office.
- Managing supplies, stationery and workplace resources.
- Coordinating office maintenance issues with landlords and suppliers.
- Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes for staff.
- Managing laptop, mobile phone and equipment allocation.
- Coordinating IT equipment and supporting colleagues with system access.
- Maintaining asset registers and equipment records.
- Supporting health and safety compliance, including fire safety and first aid arrangements.
- Managing incoming and outgoing post.
- Supporting reception and office administration activities.
- Building positive relationships with external suppliers and service providers.
About You: We're looking for somebody who brings strong organisational skills, practical problem-solving ability and a proactive attitude. This office coordination role is ideal for those who can demonstrate:
