About Us
Charity People are delighted to be partnering with an organisation that empowers women to realise their potential, support their families, and strengthen their communities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate Centre Manager to lead a Peterborough based Women's Centre and shape it into a vibrant, trauma-informed space for women in an area of significant deprivation. Many of the women they support face complex challenges, including experiences of the criminal justice system, housing insecurity, poor mental health, and domestic or sexual abuse.
The Role
As Centre Manager, you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of trauma-informed services for women in Peterborough.
- Manage a small team of support workers and oversee centre operations.
- Build strong partnerships with local services and community organisations.
- Facilitate programmes and courses, as well as liaise with external facilitators.
- Ensure accurate data collection, safeguarding, and risk management.
- Represent the organisation as the public face of the Women's Centre.
You will also play a key role in continuing renovations, ensuring the centre provides a safe, welcoming and empowering environment for all women who walk through the door.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience of empowering women with complex support needs.
- An understanding of the social and cultural issues affecting women.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- A trauma-informed, flexible and positive approach.
- Confidence in IT skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience of Salesforce, or willingness to learn.
Experience in office or service management, knowledge of local women's services, and an understanding of health & safety regulations are desirable but not essential.
This role would suit an experienced women's sector professional, or someone with a background in probation, support work, or community services who is ready to step into management.
