This is an exciting moment to join the RSCM as we prepare to celebrate our 2027 Centenary and as we look forwards to a growing, ambitious future. We have a strong, creative and supportive staff team, and seek an experienced marketing colleague to co-ordinate and manage our marketing and communications; the appointee must take an active, hands-on approach as well as managing others. Showing initiative and leading innovation are key attributes we are looking for in this new appointment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing an over-arching Marketing strategy for the RSCM.
  • Planning and executing the day-to-day delivery of marketing activities, designing and implementing effective and efficient processes.
  • Developing a (consistent) RSCM voice, including writing persuasive and engaging copy.
  • Overseeing and implementing website copy.
  • Analysing, reporting, and making recommendations based on marketing data.
  • Leading on the marketing and communications for The Choir Project, a significant 3-year partnership project funded by the Church of England.
  • A particular focus over the next 18 months will be to support our ambitious Centenary Campaign that is designed to secure wider support for the charity’s missional work. The centenary is in 2027.
