The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) is a leading charity that coordinates impact investment, grantmaking and social investment tools to support charities and social enterprises worldwide.
About the role:
- As a committee member, you will attend approximately monthly meetings (typically 2.5 hours, held in London with hybrid options).
- You will review papers circulated prior to each meeting and help set the direction of CAF’s Impact Accelerator, which includes social investment loans, blended‑finance, and grantmaking programmes.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in lending or investment, including early‑stage, social investment or impact investing.
- Experience delivering, evaluating and scaling social impact.
- Leadership experience in charity or social enterprise, such as CEO, finance director, board member or other senior role, ideally with investment experience.
- Experience in grantmaking.
Terms of appointment:
- Monthly meetings, except for August.
- Paper circulation prior to meetings; members are expected to review documents ahead of time.
- Commitment to a minimum 3‑year term, with potential for a further 3‑year extension.
