In this role you will be responsible for the manufacture and assembly, testing and cleaning/packing of our single use products, primarily the manufacture of our ChargeBags, as well as other disposable products. The product is assembled in the cleanroom, which requires the Production Operative to follow strict quality procedures, SOPs and to operate in line with good manufacturing practices.
Main Duties:
- Manufacture and assembly of ChargeBags and Plastic Single Use products, which will require the use of various machines e.g. heat welding equipment.
- Ensuring that manufacturing and assembly activities are performed in accordance with route cards, standard operating procedures and in a quality focused and efficient manner throughout the process.
- In process inspection of product – visual and other quality checks.
- Completion of all documentation as required by the Company quality operating system.
- Ensure that non-conformances are correctly recorded.
- Working with the engineering support team and suggesting improvements to the process/development of the process where appropriate.
- Work alongside the Engineering and Quality teams to resolve in process issues and implement corrective measures.
- Operational testing and validation.
- Pressure and vacuum testing.
- Cleaning of components as well as equipment required to produce the single use products.
- Ensure that goods are cleaned and packed suitably in accordance with manufacturing procedures.
- Any other duties commensurate with the position of Production Operative.
Skills and Experience:
- Prior assembly experience preferred.
- Cleanroom experience is desirable but training will be provided.
- Experience of working to quality systems in the medical or pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.
- Bag manufacture/medical device manufacture using heat welding equipment, pressure decay equipment or ultrasonic equipment is also advantageous.
