Role Purpose

A position has arisen for a shift based ‘Cleanroom Support Technician’ working a 12-hour (06:00-17:45) shift pattern (Thurs/ Fri / Sat / Mon/ Tues / Wed), then off for 7 Days, along with flexible cover for the opposite shift role.

This is due to the expansion of the ‘Single Use’ manufacturing capability.

As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will be expected to work closely with cleanroom operators/operations / quality team.

They will have responsibility for supporting production within the cleanroom environment via regular preventative maintenance of the ‘Charge Bag’ manufacturing equipment, ensuring that tooling / equipment is maintained / prepped ready to produce orders with minimal downtime, along with supporting the training of SOPs to operators.

They will work closely with the ‘Cleanroom Lead Engineer’ on the expansion of the ‘Single Use’ products/growth within the business, supporting in the development process of prototyping / SOP creation/testing – test reports/packaging, through to finished product.

Main Duties

  • Preventative maintenance / updating records for cleanroom manufacturing processes.
  • Resolve and/or escalation issues in a timely fashion.
  • Identifyprocess improvements/actions with the team.
  • Support withvalidation of equipment – conducting testing following the defined method.
  • Produce clear, detailed and logical test reports, for both internal and external distribution.
  • Support R&D and product improvement on existing and new designs/ products.
  • Manufacture prototypes and product improvements.
  • Support creation of standard SOPs / quality procedures for cleanroom products and processes
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently using their own initiative.
  • Effective listening and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Responsibility for their assigned duties.

Skills and Experience

  • A good understanding of engineering principles and mechanically minded.
  • Ability to demonstrate prior maintenace experience is preferable.
  • Proficient user of 365 products for document management and report creation including data representation.
  • Prior experience of working in/with cleanroom environments is preferable.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Technical Qualification is preferable.
