We are seeking a Senior Integrated Technology Consultant to join our global Theatre Consultancy team in the UK. You will lead the design and delivery of innovative, integrated technology solutions, including AV, digital media, show systems, and networked environments, across a diverse range of projects. You will combine your expertise in technical leadership, client engagement, and multidisciplinary coordination to create future-focused systems that support operational, creative, and user needs. You will ideally be based in London, but must be willing to travel nationally and internationally, including to the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Design Leadership
- Assist in leading the development of integrated technology strategies and system architectures (AV, media, IPTV, streaming, digital signage, immersive tech).
- Assist in establishing design standards, templates, and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical leadership across all project phases.
- Coordinate design integration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead client workshops and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Present concepts, recommendations, and system options to diverse audiences.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the design and delivery process.
- Provide cost, operational, and technical advice aligned with project goals.
- Design & Engineering
- Produce coordinated designs including drawings, schematics, specifications, and schedules.
- Ensure integration with architecture, structure, MEP, ICT, and other systems.
- Deliver future-proof, scalable designs aligned to budgets and lifecycle needs.
- Specify equipment and prepare tender documentation and technical packages.
- Project Delivery Support
- Review contractor submissions and ensure compliance with design intent.
- Conduct site inspections and support installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with contractors and project teams during construction phases.
Experience & Skills
- 8+ years in integrated technology, AV, entertainment tech, or related fields.
- Degree or equivalent in Engineering, AV Technology, Media Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience delivering technology design from concept through handover.
- Strong capability in technical documentation, system design, and CAD tools.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ability to lead workshops and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Strong stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning processes.
- AVIXA CTS (or similar), professional memberships, project management or BIM experience highly desired.

- This is a permanent, full-time role with flexibility built in. You’ll be UK-based, preferably in London, working a 40-hour week with flexible hours between 8am–8pm, Monday to Friday, and enjoy a hybrid setup with a minimum of 2 days per week working in our studio, balanced with studio collaboration, site visits, and project meetings.

Salary
The salary range for this role is £55,000 - £70,000 per annum for a 40-hour week. Please state your salary expectations in your application in line with your experience. Charcoalblue intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the total rewards that Charcoalblue provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
