Criminal Defence Law firm based in Berkshire seeks a Paralegal to work underneath their leading Criminal Defence Solicitor on a mixed caseload of white collar fraud and other violent criminal cases.
Core duties will include the following:
- Managed a caseload covering violent offences, rape, drug offences, murder, and white-collar fraud.
- Handling multiple caseloads.
- Reviewing large case files (often thousands of pages) and extracting key facts and evidence.
- Liaising professionally with clients, strengthening communication and relationship-building skills.
- Taking detailed instructions on complex, high-profile cases and ensuring accurate follow-through.
- Conducting legal research on new legislation relevant to client matters.
- Drafting high-quality legal documents, developing strong persuasive writing and editing skills.
- Organising meetings, deadlines, and case materials to support team efficiency and service delivery.
