A fabulous opportunity with a US law firm offering a salary of up to £110k. Duties will include:
- Leading on traditional business development activities including pitch, client team, response to RFP and research/competitive intelligence projects.
- Liaising with other firm departments (e.g., Pricing, Legal Project Management, Information Services, Office of General Counsel, Library/Knowledge Management).
- Producing responsive documents while working directly with lawyers, leveraging off-the-shelf/precedent materials and preparing thoughtful draft language for lawyer review.
- Coaching lawyers on key themes, talking points, organisation/structure of meetings, and analysis of competitors as necessary.
- Leading on practice and industry meetings focused on business development, including preparing meeting agendas, tracking action items, and maintaining trackers for business development activities.
- Supporting the overall maintenance of marketing collateral and databases/systems, engaging with lawyers about the status of their matter pipelines.
- Maintaining marketing activity databases by reporting substantive notes and outcomes.
- Collaborating with the events function to develop highly targeted mailing lists for specific uses.
- Participating in and contributing to departmental and team discussions.
- Developing trusted advisor relationships with partners and counsel in London and beyond.
Skills, experience & qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration, Political Science, English, Finance or other relevant areas of study.
- Experience in business development within a law firm or professional services organisation is strongly preferred.
