Criminal Litigation Solicitor Position Overview:
You will manage a varied caseload of criminal matters, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients at police stations, Magistrates, and Crown Courts. This is an exciting opportunity to work on both sensitive and complex cases within a supportive, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities of the Criminal Litigation Solicitor:
- Represent clients at police stations, Magistrates and Crown Courts
- Prepare and manage criminal defence cases from instruction through to trial
- Advise clients on a broad range of criminal law matters, including serious crime
- Liaise with counsel, experts, and witnesses throughout the case lifecycle
- Manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision and autonomy
- Contribute to business development and departmental growth
- Maintain outstanding client care and uphold firm standards
Requirements of the Crime Litigation Solicitor:
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 1-2 years PQE in criminal defence or litigation
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Client-focused, professional, and proactive approach
- High level of integrity and discretion
