I am recruiting on behalf of a leading Criminal Defence Law Firm based in Berkshire and London. The firm represents clients in some of the highest-profile and serious offences in the UK. The firm is seeking a 2+ years PQE Solicitor who is passionate about criminal law and enjoys attending police stations and Magistrates Courts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients at police stations, attending both scheduled and out-of-hours shifts.
- Attend Magistrates Court hearings, providing advocacy and client support.
- Manage a growing Crown Court caseload.
- Maintain accurate and thorough case files, with regular file reviews.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Skills & Experience:
- 2+ PQE in criminal law.
- Full Police Station Accreditation required; Duty Accreditation preferred but not essential.
- Genuine commitment to criminal law and client advocacy.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
