The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.

The role involves conducting examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), awarding body and Aylesford School's guidance and instructions. Successful candidates will be able to work effectively in a busy school ensuring that the integrity of examinations is maintained. Previous experience of invigilation is not essential as training in the role and duties of an invigilator will be provided.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend briefings by the Exams Officer prior to exams taking place
  • Supervise and observe candidates at all times during the examinations
  • Keep disruption in exam rooms to a minimum
  • Deal with emergencies or irregularities calmly and effectively
  • Record/report any incidents, disruption or irregularities
  • Complete attendance registers
  • Respond to candidate questions according to regulations
  • Collect exam scripts and materials at the end of the exams
  • Check candidates names on scripts match the registers
  • Dismiss candidates from the exam room quietly and efficiently
  • Securely return all exam scripts and materials to exams office
  • Undertake training as and when required
