We are a leading charge point provider and operator for electric vehicles in the UK, managing over 4,000 public charge points. At char.gy we are committed to providing reliable, convenient and affordable charging infrastructure that is accessible to all, particularly the 40% of UK households without private driveways that rely on public charging. Our small but dynamic team is growing, and we’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Data Analyst and Senior Data Engineer to deliver high-quality reporting and insights, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with business needs.
  • Design and build Power BI dashboards that are visually compelling, intuitive, and meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Write exceptional SQL for data extraction and transformation, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to support operational, commercial, and marketing teams with timely, actionable insights (e.g. analyse charging infrastructure performance using available datasets to identify trends and opportunities for improvement).
  • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, helping drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Deliver Power BI training and support to stakeholders, fostering data literacy across the organisation.
  • Plan and document work in a structured, step-by-step manner, ensuring transparency and reproducibility.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working in a data analyst role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (STEM, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, etc.).
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Strong Power BI experience, including dashboard design and UX best practices.
  • Ability to plan and organise work methodically, documenting steps and rationale.
  • Comfortable with pair programming and collaborative data testing.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., git, GitHub).
  • High attention to detail and structured approach to analysis.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn - curiosity and accountability are key.
