Chapter One Childcare is on the lookout for an inspirational Deputy Manager to join and lead our Pre-school team in Edinburgh. With a focus on hands-on, experiential learning, we are seeking a dynamic leader to help our children and teams flourish.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the nursery team to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education.
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and development of all children in your care.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities aligned with the curriculum that stimulate learning and creativity.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, staff, and management.
  • Support staff development through coaching and mentoring.
  • Uphold compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Lead the nursery in the absence of the Nursery manager.

  • Qualified Leaders: HNC or equivalent, with a solid understanding of Care Inspectorate & SSSC standards.
