The Head of Deal Origination will be responsible for managing and executing deal origination strategies to identify and attract prospective clients within the eCommerce, consumer, and digital sectors. This full-time role is based in London, with flexibility for some remote work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Conducting market analysis
- Identifying potential acquisition targets
- Collaborating across internal teams to ensure smooth deal execution
- Presenting tailored strategies to clients
- Networking with stakeholders
- Staying updated with industry trends to drive successful outcomes
The Role:
- Own the full origination lifecycle: sourcing -> pitching -> mandate conversion
- Attend industry events and become a thought leader in the consumer ecosystem
- Develop strong relationships with Business Owners, Private Equity Firms, Strategics and other Sell & Buyer Side Targets
- Develop Chapter International buyer pool through engaging with Ecommerce & Technology business acquirors
- Develop comprehensive financial models, analyses, and undertake company valuations
- Qualification of clients for M&A debt financing
- Identify industry-specific trends and issues, including financial information and incoming profiles of prospects
- Spearhead the new area of coverage with Founder (Logistics, Digital Marketing, SaaS)
- Build relationships with Founders, PE, Financial Sponsors and Strategics in our ecosystem
- Manage and develop the broader Business Development strategy
- Oversee the development of the broader team, with recruiting being a core purview as the role evolves
