The Role
As a Payments Operations Executive, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring smooth, accurate, and compliant payment processing across multiple global rails — e.g. SWIFT, Faster Payments, SEPA, cards, and local schemes. Working closely with other team members and subject matter experts, you will play a key role in:
- Processing daily inbound and outbound payments on time, with absolute accuracy and attention to detail.
- Monitoring payment flows in real time, identifying and resolving delays or errors promptly by working with banks, processors, and internal teams.
- Investigating and resolving payment exceptions — such as rejects, chargebacks, duplicates, and missing transactions.
- Reconciling transactions to bank accounts and internal systems, supporting liquidity management to ensure seamless payment runs.
- Ensuring full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (AML, sanctions, approval rules) and escalating any anomalies.
- Producing operational reports, maintaining procedures, and suggesting innovative automation or process improvements to drive efficiency.
