Our client is one of the UK’s fastest-growing technology businesses, on an exciting journey of rapid expansion and transformation. They are looking for a Finance Manager to join their growing finance team and take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This is a predominantly BAU-focused role, ideal for someone with strong transactional and management accounting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining the integrity of the company's financial data, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliations, while also identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and controls.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
  • Own month-end close processes, including bank reconciliations, expenses, accruals and prepayments
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data across multiple entities
  • Monitor departmental budgets, track expenditure and identify variances and opportunities for cost control
  • Work closely with external accountants, auditors and vendors to ensure smooth reporting and compliance
  • Support and improve financial systems, processes and controls, including automation where appropriate
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support commercial decision-making and operational planning
  • Support finance-related aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding, including payroll, systems access and documentation
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve finance processes as the business continues to scale

What You’ll Bring

  • Part-qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA
  • Approximately 3–5 years’ experience within finance, accounting or management accounting
  • Strong grounding in accounting fundamentals, including reconciliations, balance sheet reviews and management accounts
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage high-volume transactional finance accurately
  • Experience working across multiple entities and reconciling complex accounts
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • Hands-on experience with Xero, ideally within a multi-entity environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling business where processes are continually evolving
  • A high-ownership mindset, someone who takes responsibility for ensuring the numbers are accurate and reliable
  • AI-savvy, with an interest in using technology and automation to improve the way finance operates
  • Experience within a scale-up environment would be advantageous and is a strong cultural fit, although exceptional candidates from more structured environments will also be considered
  • B2C experience would be beneficial, although strong B2B experience will also be considered
  • Experience within a regulated environment is advantageous but not essential
