Chapter 2 – A scalable talent solution.

Consultant Neurologist

Salary: Up to £190,000–£210,000 pro-rated depending on experience and skill

From £91.35 to £100.96 per hour

Working days and hours: Our client is very flexible; they are open to the successful candidate to work Monday to Sunday and evenings. The normal starting time is from 8am up to 10pm in terms of time ranges. Client uptake isn’t busy 5pm-10pm on a Sunday so this will be avoided.

Flexibility: Clinicians choose preferred days and hours; sessions can be spread as needed.

About the Role

Our client is seeking Permanent Consultant Neurologists to join a pioneering team in the field of medical cannabis. This role offers the opportunity to focus on patient care and prescribing, while working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where nurses and pharmacists manage pre-consultation and follow-up tasks.

You will play a pivotal role in assessing and managing patients exploring medical cannabis treatment options and help shape the future of medical cannabis care in the UK. Please note, the successful candidates don’t require experience in prescribing Medical Cannabis as they will be fully trained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient consultations, including assessment, prescribing, and ongoing management.
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for patients seeking medical cannabis treatment.
  • Participate in clinical outcome data collection to support research and best practices.
  • Contribute to clinical governance and maintain robust patient care standards.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Attend ongoing specialist training and professional development, including bespoke training in cannabis-based medicinal products (CBMPs).
  • Print out, sign prescriptions, and organise postage whether through dropping off at local post office, delivery service or organised courier.

Essential Requirements

  • Full GMC Registration
  • Completion of Specialist Training (CCST/CCT) or equivalent
  • Listed on the GMC Specialist Register for Neurology
