We are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our Southampton-based team. This is a full-time, workshop-based position focused on keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and roadworthy.
You’ll be responsible for servicing, repairs, fault-finding, diagnostics, and MOT preparation, working both independently and as part of a small, experienced team.
Key Responsibilities- Servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs
- Fault-finding and diagnostics
- MOT preparation
- Inspections, safety checks, and record keeping
- Supporting a safe and efficient workshop environment
- Essential: Proven experience in HGV maintenance and repair
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Good understanding of HGV safety and compliance
- Team-focused with a strong work ethic
- Desirable: Relevant NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent
- Experience with specialised heavy haulage vehicles
- HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
- Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience
