About the Role: As a Contract Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of sub-contractors under the grounds maintenance contract. Your role will involve reviewing and approving event applications for council land, auditing playground inspections, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor the performance of sub-contractors under the grounds maintenance contract.
- Review and approve events on council-owned land.
- Audit and report on playground inspections.
- Liaise with internal departments and external contractors to resolve issues.
- Provide professional input to ensure safe, attractive, and well-maintained public spaces.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience in local authority, client-side, or public realm contract management.
- A good understanding of grounds maintenance operations and health & safety standards.
- Confidence in reviewing inspection reports and event applications.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to service delivery and quality control.
- Full Clean UK Driving Licence, CSCS & SSSTS Card.
Desirable:
- Experience with public realm services.
- Familiarity with local authority procedures.
- Strong communication skills.
