About our Client:
Our client specialises in grass cutting, landscape maintenance, and soft landscaping. Initially serving local authorities, they now handle projects of all sizes across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, and Kent for commercial, public, and private sectors.

With 40+ years in highways maintenance, they bring extensive expertise and hold Lantra qualifications for mobile highway works, ensuring safety and professionalism. They also work with trusted traffic management partners for high-speed roads, overnight operations, and road closures.

About the Role:
In this role, you will carry out vital grounds maintenance duties to ensure outdoor spaces are maintained to a high standard. Responsibilities include pruning, trimming, vegetation clearance, and operating equipment such as strimmers, brush cutters, and ride-on mowers.

This position involves working along highways, where you will contribute to vegetation management and clearance. The role envolvesclearing up to 20,000 meters of vegetation daily.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vegetation maintenance tasks such as pruning, trimming, and clearing.
  • Operate and maintain tools, power tools, and machinery safely &efficiently (e.g., Strimmers, Brush Cutters, Ride-on Mowers) to clear vegetation coveringup to 15 miles per day.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure your safety and that of others.
  • Identify and manage invasive plant species.
  • Ensure all work sites are clean, safe, and tidy upon completion.
  • Report any issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly.
  • Requirements:

    Essential:

  • Experience in grounds maintenance, vegetation management/clearance, or a related field.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Desirable:

  • Certifications: CSCS, ROLO, LANTRARide-on Mowers
