Position: Arborist / Team Leader (Arboriculture)
Location: Letchworth
Salary: £27,000 – £40,000
Hours: Full-time

Please note: A full Clean UK Driving Licence is required for you to be considered for this position.

Are you a skilled Arborist with proven experience in tree surgery and team leadership? Do you excel in dynamic environments where no two days are the same? Chappell Enterprises UK is recruiting on behalf of our client, a successful and expanding rural and environmental contracting company. They are seeking a motivated and experienced Arborist / Team Leader to join their Letchworth office.

About the Role:
As an Arborist / Team Leader, you will perform aerial tree surgery operations, provide aerial rescue support, and liaise with clients on-site. You will work on new and existing contracts, ensuring that Health & Safety procedures are followed, and maintain personal climbing equipment and inspection records.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform aerial tree surgery operations
• Provide aerial rescue support for the team
• Use and maintain modern equipment for arboricultural duties
• Liaise with clients on-site
• Work on new and existing contracts
• Follow Health & Safety procedures
• Maintain personal climbing equipment and inspection records
• Conduct vehicle inspections and other weekly checks

Requirements:

Essential:
• Proven experience in arboriculture
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliability and punctuality
• Professionalism and safety consciousness
• Accountability and respectfulness
• Effective communication and ability to follow instructions

Desirable:
• City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 – Chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting
• City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 – Felling small trees up to 380mm
• City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 – Tree climbing and aerial rescue
• City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 – Using a chainsaw from a rope and harness
• Full UK driving licence
