About the Role:

As a Plant Operator, you will be an integral part of the site team, operating dumpers, tractors and other plant machinery safely and efficiently while also supporting general groundworks and labouring duties. This role requires flexibility, as you will be working on various sites across the South, with some jobs requiring you to stay away from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate dumpers, tractors and other plant machinery safely and efficiently on site
  • Support site teams with general groundworks and labouring duties when required
  • Work to site plans and follow instructions from site management
  • Carry out daily checks and basic machine care
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
  • Work productively both independently and as part of a team

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Dumper/Tractor/Plant machinery operator
  • Relevant plant tickets/card such as CPCS or NPORS
  • Good understanding of safe site working practices
  • Reliable, hardworking, and flexible approach to hands-on work
  • Willingness to travel and stay away when required
  • Able to work long hours during peak season

Desirable:

  • Extensive site experience
  • Experience in sports turf, landscaping, or groundworks
  • Additional plant operation skills
