About the Role
As a Sportsturf Maintenance Operative / Grounds Maintenance Operative, your primary responsibility will be marking out sports pitches, running tracks, and other site markings using a variety of equipment. When line marking isn’t required, you’ll support the wider maintenance teams with general grounds maintenance duties. Training for line marking can be provided and is not essential; however, relevant industry experience is required as a minimum.
Key Responsibilities
- Marking out sports pitches, running tracks, and other client requirements.
- Operating robot, ride‑on, and pedestrian line marking equipment safely and accurately.
- Preparing materials and maintaining clean, consistent lines to agreed standards.
- Supporting grounds maintenance teams with pedestrian mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, and general grounds maintenance duties.
- Conducting basic checks and maintenance of equipment, and keeping the van/work area tidy and organised.
Requirements
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
- Good attention to detail for accurate and consistent line marking.
- A practical, hands‑on attitude, willing to assist with general grounds maintenance tasks.
Desirable:
- Ideally a clean driving licence.
