A brand-new role with real responsibility. As Chapmans continues to grow, we've created a brand-new position within our Property Management team. We're looking for an organised, practical and proactive person to help manage everything that happens between one tenancy ending and the next beginning. Every property has dozens of moving parts behind the scenes. Inspections, inventories, maintenance, contractors, cleaning and tenant move-ins all need to come together, often against tight deadlines. You'll be the person who makes it happen. It's a varied, hands-on role where you'll spend time both out at properties across Edinburgh and in the office, helping make every tenancy transition run smoothly while supporting our experienced Property Managers.
What you'll be doing:
- Working closely with our Property Managers, you'll carry out property inspections, inventories, tenant check-ins and check-out inspections.
- Produce detailed reports and photographs.
- Identify maintenance, cleaning and compliance issues.
- Coordinate cleaners, contractors and follow-on works.
- Prepare properties ready for new tenants.
- Support property managers with deposit evidence and documentation.
- Help minimise void periods by ensuring properties are ready on time.
- Support routine maintenance coordination during quieter periods.
No two days, and no two seasons, are ever the same.
Who we're looking for:
We're much more interested in attitude than previous property experience. You'll be someone who:
- Takes pride in doing things properly.
- Is organised, practical and detail-focused.
- Enjoys solving problems.
- Communicates confidently and professionally.
- Can manage competing priorities.
- Wants to build a long-term career.
Experience in property, hospitality, customer service, facilities management, construction, project coordination or interior design would be an advantage, but isn't essential. Training is provided.
Why Chapmans?
Since 2011, Chapmans has built a reputation as one of Edinburgh's most respected independent lettings and property management companies. We're a relationship-led business with a simple approach:
- Lower property-to-staff ratios.
- Greater oversight and involvement.
- Long-term relationships, not volume.
Our team is supportive, collaborative and genuinely enjoys working together. As we continue to grow, we're investing in people who want to grow with us.
What we offer:
- £25,000–£27,000 salary per annum, depending on experience.
- Structured training and mentoring.
- Genuine career development opportunities.
- Private Healthcare.
- Company pension.
- Informal flexi-time.
- Long-service recognition.
- A varied role with real responsibility from day one.
How to apply:
Please send your CV, a covering letter explaining why this role appeals to you, and a short video (2–3 minutes) introducing yourself and answering:
- What attracted you to Chapmans?
- A time your attention to detail made a difference.
- Why you're looking for a long-term career in property.
- What you think makes an exceptional customer experience.
Closing date: 5pm, Friday 31 July 2026. Applications should be sent to: luke@chapmanspm.co.uk
