Chapman Tate Associates seeks a Software Tester to join this established and award-winning distributor. My client is a major player in their field and with an annual turnover of £200 million plus, they are well positioned to grow and develop this function.

This is a brand new role where you will be helping support the Senior Software Tester and work alongside the Software Development team with a number of migration projects across the next 18 months.

My client seeks a skilled Tester with experience in a C# environment including unit testing. As a Software Tester, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of their software applications which will be sitting in a Microsoft C# environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute tests for C# applications, including unit tests, integration tests, and UI tests
  • Write unit tests using frameworks like NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest
  • Identify and report defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues
  • Create and maintain test automation frameworks
  • Develop and execute manual test cases for software applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing aligns with project goals

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in software testing with C# / .Net
  • Strong knowledge of C# programming language and .NET framework
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (Git, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) is a plus
