Job Title: RPG Programmer Location: UK Remote Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum Key Responsibilities: * Develop, maintain, and enhance RPG applications on the AS400, IBM iSeries, and related systems * Write and optimise RPG code to ensure high performance and functionality for clients * Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions * Collaborate with other developers to integrate RPG systems with modern technologies and applications * Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing RPG applications, providing ongoing support * Perform system upgrades, patches, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to services * Ensure that coding practices align with industry standards and best practices * Produce technical documentation and support knowledge sharing within the team Key Skills & Experience: * Strong experience with RPG programming (RPG IV, RPG Free format) on AS400, IBM iSeries, or similar platforms * Familiarity with DB2 for i (SQL/DB2) and other databases on the IBM iSeries * Experience with job scheduling, data transfer, and system integrations * Knowledge of CL (Control Language), DDS (Data Description Specifications), and file handling on AS400 * Understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall * Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimise legacy RPG applications * Excellent problem-solving…
