Chapman Tate Associates are delighted to be working in partnership with a respected law firm based in Bradford, known for its commitment to excellence and client service. As part of their continued investment in technology, we’re seeking a 1st / 2nd Line IT Technician to join their internal IT team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically capable and service-driven individual to support a professional environment where reliability, discretion, and responsiveness are key.
The Role
You’ll be the first point of contact for IT support across the firm, resolving day-to-day technical issues and escalating where necessary. You’ll also assist with system maintenance, user onboarding, and contribute to ongoing infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support across desktop, laptop, and mobile devices
- Troubleshoot issues related to Windows OS, Microsoft 365, printers, and networking
- Manage user accounts and permissions via Active Directory
- Support legal software applications and liaise with vendors when needed
- Assist with hardware setups, upgrades, and office moves
- Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge base updates
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a 1st or 2nd line IT support role
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, and Active Directory
- Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional manner
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests
- Experience in a legal or professional services environment is a bonus
