Chapman Tate are proud to be working in partnership with a leading Managed Services Provider (MSP) based in the Midlands, as they seek to expand their specialist team with the addition of an IBMi Power Consultant. This is a fully remote role, offering a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge IBM Power Systems technologies while enjoying the flexibility of home-based working.

About the Role:

As an IBMi Power Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering IBM Power infrastructure solutions, working across iSeries (AS/400) environments and Power Virtual Systems (Power VS). This role involves providing consultancy and support across a range of client projects, including migrations, virtualisation, and system optimisation.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and support IBM Power Systems solutions, with a strong focus on IBMi / iSeries / AS400.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of Power Virtual Server (Power VS) platforms.
  • Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Participate in migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM Power Systems (especially IBMi / iSeries / AS/400).
  • Solid understanding of Power Virtual Server (Power VS).
  • Experience working in a managed service or consultancy environment is beneficial.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Salary & Benefits:
