We are partnering with a well-established ERP and IT solutions provider to appoint an experienced Customer Success / Sales Account Director. This is a senior, consultative role focused on account management, value-led sales, and long-term customer growth within the manufacturing sector.
The Role
You will manage and develop a portfolio of mid-market manufacturing customers (£15m–£50m turnover), acting as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders. Rather than new-logo hunting, the emphasis is on deep account ownership, understanding customer strategy, and positioning ERP and IT solutions that drive operational transformation.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to align ERP capability, IT roadmaps, and business outcomes, particularly within Engineer-to-Order, Discrete Manufacturing, and Supply Chain environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of manufacturing accounts through consultative, value-based selling
- Build trusted relationships with senior heads of business, operations, finance, and IT
- Identify growth opportunities across ERP, modules, upgrades, integrations, and associated IT services
- Lead account planning, QBRs, and strategic discussions around digital and ERP transformation
- Collaborate with delivery, customer success, and technical teams to ensure adoption and value realisation
- Act as the primary commercial and strategic point of contact for assigned customers
Required Experience
- Strong background in ERP-related account management or customer success sales
- Hands-on experience with Epicor, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics, IFS, or similar ERP platforms
- Proven success selling IT solutions into manufacturing environments
- Experience working with Engineer-to-Order, Discrete Manufacturing, and/or Supply Chain businesses
- Comfortable engaging at board and senior leadership level
- Commercially astute, consultative, and relationship-driven approach
Location
- Remote-based role
- Candidates should ideally be within 1.5 hours’ travel of Birmingham for customer visits and internal meetings
