Chapman Tate Associates is working with a well‑established Managed Service Provider based in Portsmouth that is looking to add an experienced Network Engineer to its team. This role will suit someone who is confident working in fast‑paced, multi‑customer environments and has strong hands‑on experience with both Aruba and Cisco technologies.

Role Overview

The Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and developing customer network infrastructures. You will work across a variety of environments, providing both BAU support and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, configure and maintain network infrastructure across customer sites.
  • Support and troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN environments.
  • Act as an escalation point for advanced network issues.
  • Monitor network performance and carry out diagnostics and optimisation.
  • Assist with network upgrades, migrations and customer project delivery.
  • Produce technical documentation and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Required Experience

  • Strong commercial experience with Aruba networking (switching, wireless; ClearPass experience is beneficial).
  • Solid background with Cisco routing and switching (CCNA or CCNP advantageous).
  • Good understanding of VLANs, VPNs, firewalls and general network security principles.
  • Experience working in an MSP or multi‑customer environment is highly desirable.
  • Confident in troubleshooting and managing enterprise network environments.
