Midlands (Hybrid: 2 days on-site)

Chapman Tate are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer in the Midlands who are looking for a talented Business Systems Analyst to join their team. This hybrid role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge ERP systems and business-critical applications, helping to shape and optimise IT solutions across the organisation.

As Business Systems Analyst, you’ll take ownership of the company’s line of business (LoB) systems, including ERP, databases, web services, and related applications. You’ll be responsible for both day-to-day support and long-term improvements, bridging the gap between IT and the wider business.

You’ll:

  • Act as service owner for core business systems, including ERP (Infor SyteLine) and related applications.
  • Resolve incidents and problems across LoB systems, ensuring continuity of service.
  • Manage and maintain the ERP environment, databases, and web services.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into effective system change requests.
  • Develop and maintain applications (VB.NET, C#, SQL) and reporting tools (SSRS, Crystal Reports, Power BI).
  • Coordinate testing, release, and deployment of system changes.
  • Deliver LoB projects, ensuring on-time and effective implementation.
  • Provide occasional out-of-hours support when required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Visual Basic, C#, and SQL Server development.
  • Reporting experience with SSRS, Power BI, and Crystal Reports.
  • Previous background in a business systems analysis role.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Infor SyteLine or similar).
  • Experience in ITIL service management and PRINCE2 (practitioner level or above).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems, SQL Server, and .NET development.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise business needs, and deliver clear communication to stakeholders.
