Role and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using IBM RPG programming language
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance
- Write efficient and clean code while adhering to coding standards and best practices
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to continuously enhance your skills and contribute fresh ideas to the team
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Document code, processes, and specifications for future reference
Technically you will have experience around the following:
- Proven experience as an RPG Developer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Proficiency in RPG IV programming language and related tools
- Familiarity with IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform and associated technologies
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) principles
- Problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
