Chapman Tate Associates seeks an IBM RPG Developer to join this internationally based and well recognised manufacturer within their Aston based offices. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using IBM RPG programming language
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance
  • Write efficient and clean code while adhering to coding standards and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to continuously enhance your skills and contribute fresh ideas to the team
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
  • Document code, processes, and specifications for future reference

Technically you will have experience around the following:

  • Proven experience as an RPG Developer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects
  • Proficiency in RPG IV programming language and related tools
  • Familiarity with IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform and associated technologies
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) principles
  • Problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
