ERP Pre-Sales Consultant – Financial Management Software

Midlands | Hybrid / Flexible Working | Competitive Salary + Bonus

Are you an experienced ERP Pre-Sales Consultant who enjoys understanding a customer's challenges and turning them into compelling software solutions?

We’re working with a growing and established ERP and financial software consultancy looking for a commercially minded ERP Pre-Sales Consultant to support its continued growth.

This is a highly customer-facing position, working closely with Sales, Consulting and prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. You’ll combine strong ERP knowledge with excellent presentation and communication skills to demonstrate how technology can improve finance and wider business processes.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience across NetSuite, Sage or iPlicit, although experience with other finance-focused ERP platforms will also be considered.

What will you be doing?

You’ll take ownership of the functional and technical elements of the pre-sales process, including:

  • Leading discovery sessions to understand prospective customers' business and finance requirements
  • Delivering engaging and tailored ERP software demonstrations
  • Translating business requirements into appropriate solution designs
  • Working alongside Sales and Account Management throughout the sales cycle
  • Running workshops and presentations with Finance Directors, CFOs and other senior stakeholders
  • Supporting RFPs, RFIs, proposals and tender responses
  • Advising customers on how ERP and financial management technology can improve their processes
  • Working closely with implementation and consulting teams to ensure proposed solutions are deliverable
  • Acting as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey

What are we looking for?

Ideally, you'll have experience with one or more of the following:

NetSuite | Oracle NetSuite | Sage | Sage Intacct | Sage 200 | Sage X3 | iPlicit

You could currently be working as a Pre-Sales Consultant, Solutions Consultant, ERP Consultant, Functional Consultant, Solution Architect or Technical Account Manager.

You don't necessarily need to be a career pre-sales professional. We’re equally interested in experienced ERP Functional or Implementation Consultants who regularly run discovery sessions, workshops, presentations and software demonstrations and would like to move further into pre-sales.

A Finance, Accounting or Financial Management background would be particularly advantageous.

Location & Travel

We’re ideally looking for someone based in or around the Midlands, providing a good central base for both customer and internal meetings.

The position offers hybrid/flexible working, with travel to the North of the UK expected approximately once a month, alongside occasional customer-site travel when required.

Candidates based around Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Northampton, Warwickshire or the wider Midlands would be particularly well located.

Why consider it?

This is a great opportunity to join a growing ERP business where you'll have genuine influence over how solutions are positioned and sold.

You'll remain close to the technology while moving further into the commercial and consultative side of ERP, working with customers from their initial requirements through to the point where the right solution has been identified.

If you have experience with NetSuite, Sage, iPlicit or a similar finance-focused ERP platform and enjoy the customer-facing side of technology, we'd like to hear from you.
