Chapman Recruitment is looking for a motivated MEP Planner to join a well-established engineering company renowned for delivering complex Electrical, Automation and Mechanical projects.

This position is for 6 months leading to future works on up-and-coming projects.
MEP Planner Role Overview
You will work with the Project Team to develop, monitor, and control programmes, progress, and performance for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works, including subcontracted packages.
MEP Planner Key Responsibilities
- Project planning using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and excel skills to produce project programmes and data sheets
- Develop baseline, resourced, cost loaded, logic linked project schedules in line with NEC contract requirements and project processes
- Prepare and present detailed planning information i. e. Gant charts, histograms, baseline schedules, S Curves, KPIs, programme narratives and progress reports
- Work with Quantity Surveyors Project Teams to support Earned Value Analysis (EVA) processes
- Process site records and progress data to inform updates, reports, and narratives
- Conduct site visits to verify progress, installed quantities, and site conditions
- Identify and communicate risks with potential programme impacts
- Support change management by collating and maintaining accurate site records
- Ensure site hours are forecasted accurately and recorded daily against work packages
- Assist in maintaining client dashboards and reporting outputs
- Maintain activity coding structures in P6, ensuring consistency across platforms
- Liaising with client planners to ensure cohesion between programmes
MEP Planner – Requirements
- MEP Planner must have experience with Primavera P6 (essential)
- Proactive, professional team player with ability to work independently
- Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Good understanding of project planning and controls
- Knowledge of Earned Value Analysis and NEC contracts required
- Flexible to meet project demands
