Chapman Recruitment are looking for an experienced Business Area Manager to oversee the operational management of designated projects while coordinating company sales and marketing activities to achieve growth and profitability targets. This senior role will work closely with the Managing Director and management team to ensure company objectives, operational performance, and customer satisfaction standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the day-to-day operations of designated projects to achieve profit targets and key performance objectives.
- Work with senior management to establish operational objectives, plans, and budgets.
- Promote the business through excellent customer care and client relationship management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, trade associations, industry bodies, and key business contacts.
- Review and approve estimates, monitor contract performance, and manage variations and final accounts.
- Identify new sales opportunities and contribute to sales and marketing plans to support business growth.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to protect and enhance company profitability.
- Support employee development through training and performance management.
- Attend management and sales meetings to review company performance and future opportunities.
- Accept customer orders and coordinate their execution to ensure contract requirements are met.
- Assist in maintaining the company's reputation for quality, competitiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Required Personal Attributes
- Proven experience in a senior operational or business management role within construction, engineering, or building services.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge including variations, cost forecasting, and final accounts.
