OVERVIEW
Chapel is an independent content and creative agency, specialising in B2B communications. We create, produce and deliver standout work for some of the world’s biggest brands. We are passionate about the work we do, the people we work for, and building a thriving culture for our team. We’re looking for a Studio Manager who would love to be the heart of Chapel. Someone diligent, organised, proactive and people focused who enjoys putting systems and processes in place to ensure the best creative work can happen. Someone who will be proud of our studio space and team, and ensures they are well looked after.
THE ROLE
The role will involve working closely with both the Operations Director and Founder, supporting them to ensure Chapel runs seamlessly behind the scenes. We require someone who can bring empathy, kindness and self-initiative to a range of operational tasks, HR admin, social planning, wellbeing and culture; spotting opportunities to make our systems smarter and our people happier.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Studio operations and systems
- Maintain a warm, welcoming studio environment
- Maintain and improve internal systems across travel, tech, and HR
- Establish clear organisation (Google Workspace, Server folder structure, physical and digital filing)
- Lead relationships with key suppliers from our tech support team to day-to-day couriers, ensuring great communication and service
- Project and creative team support
- Support the Project Managers with resourcing requirements
- Source and onboard new freelancers
- Maintain the freelance roster, working closely with the creative team to ensure it’s up to date
- Assist with company marketing, including across our social media channels
- Assist the bookkeepers with financial admin, including chasing receipts and tracking expenses
- Manage the studio, training and social budgets, reporting back accurately on a monthly basis
- Oversee our subscriptions and memberships
- HR and team support
- Support across day-to-day HR administration alongside the Operations Director
- Oversee our HR software, ensuring staff leave, absences and document filing is up to date
- Onboard new starters
- Be the first point of contact for everyday HR enquiries and flag any issues early and constructively
- Culture and communication
- Act as Chapel’s cultural barometer, keeping an eye on team morale and doing what’s needed to keep spirits up
- Plan, budget and deliver company socials, trips and celebrations end-to-end
- Ensure internal company information is communicated across our channels in a way that is timely, thoughtful, kind and professional
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Ideally, you’d have a minimum of two years’ experience in a studio, creative agency, or production environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Google Workspace, including basic spreadsheet skills.
