As a Business Manager for La Prairie, you will lead and grow an exceptional luxury brand at Harrods, London, including our Spa Treatment Room. This is a high-profile and strategically critical role, as Harrods represents 60% of our UK & Ireland business.
You will be responsible for leading a team of 11 Beauty and Spa professionals, driving commercial performance while delivering best-in-class client experiences. Through inspirational leadership, strong commercial acumen, and exceptional people management, you will ensure every customer interaction reflects the highest standards of luxury service and brand excellence.
Your mission is to strengthen the position of La Prairie within the skincare categories, fully aligned to each brand’s strategic vision, values, and growth ambitions.
Key Accountabilities- Business Planning & Commercial Performance
- Deliver annual retail sales targets through strategic business planning and disciplined execution.
- Set, track, and review weekly sales targets, providing clear performance insights and action plans.
- Drive retail growth through tailored business plans, event strategies, and promotional activity, providing detailed bi-annual progress reviews.
- Identify and maximise new sales opportunities within brand and retail guidelines.
- Take full ownership of performance, providing senior management with high-quality weekly door reports, insights, and corrective actions.
- Lead the La Prairie Spa, optimising bookings, ROI, and treatment performance to exceed targets.
- Ensure stock accuracy, optimal stock age, tester management, and timely replenishment or corrective action.
- Proactively manage team absences to maintain full counter coverage and service standards.
- Maintain 100% compliance and accuracy across all reporting systems, including IPPOS and clienteling platforms.
- Team Leadership, Development & Performance
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Beauty Consultants, Spa Consultants, and a Stock Controller, setting clear standards for performance, conduct, and service.
- Define and review the optimal team structure annually to align resourcing with sales targets and profitability.
- Build a motivated, results-driven culture where KPIs are consistently met or exceeded.
- Partner with the Retail Education Manager to analyse KPIs, identify skill gaps, and drive sell-out through targeted training and coaching.
- Implement company and brand strategy across all counters while fostering strong partnerships with Harrods management teams.
- Marketing, Merchandising & Brand Execution
- Ensure flawless execution of all in-store marketing initiatives in line with brand strategy and guidelines.
- Maintain exceptional merchandising standards, maximising the impact of visual assets, samples, and collateral.
- Uphold the prestige and luxury image of La Prairie through impeccable counter presentation and grooming standards.
- Store Relationships & Commercial Partnerships
- Conduct regular documented business meetings with department and store management to review performance, align on strategy, and plan promotional activity.
- Identify and leverage local commercial opportunities, including events, personal shopping, and additional retail space, to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
