Channing School is seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspiring Teacher of Drama to join our dynamic and highly successful Creative Arts Department from September 2026. This part‑time role offers the opportunity to teach Drama across Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level within a high‑achieving and deeply supportive all‑girls environment, while contributing to the vibrant co‑curricular and performance life of the school.
At Channing, we believe that Drama plays a vital role in developing confidence, creativity, empathy and collaboration. Through performance, devising and critical exploration, pupils learn to communicate with clarity, think imaginatively and engage courageously with ideas and audiences. Drama is a flourishing subject at Channing, with excellent outcomes at GCSE and A level and a strong tradition of participation in productions, clubs and enrichment opportunities.
The successful candidate will build on this strong foundation by delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that challenge and inspire pupils of all abilities. They will support the department's extensive programme of productions and co‑curricular activities, including assisting with directing school performances and contributing to Drama clubs, trips and enrichment opportunities. The role would suit an enthusiastic and reflective teacher who is passionate about Drama education, committed to collaborative working and eager to contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
Hours: Part time (0.4 or 0.6)
Start Date: September 2026
