If your idea of Key Account Management is dropping off doughnuts once a quarter and sending a few just checking in emails in your PJs, stop here. You are still reading because you are the person businesses trust with their biggest, most profitable and most strategically important customer accounts. The ones that matter. The ones that cannot be handed to just anyone.

I am supporting exclusively an award winning MSP to find a Key Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of high revenue, long standing and commercially sensitive accounts. These customers expect a partner they can trust and someone who understands the commercial weight of every conversation. This requires a steady commercial hand, a relationship strategist and someone trusted at board level. Someone who can protect what is already strong, deepen the relationships that matter and uncover the opportunities that only appear when a customer genuinely trusts you.

You will join a long established UK provider with more than 25 years of experience and a reputation for memorable customer experience and long standing relationships. A business built around making technology simple, reliable and better for customers.

The commercial opportunities are huge across a full UC, connectivity, mobile, IT and cybersecurity portfolio. You can earn from everything. Targets are realistic and based on GP. Commission is paid on signature. The earnings reflect the expectation. Basic salary £50,000. Strong on target earnings with exceptional over target accelerators (Team average 2025 = 135 percent). Commission paid on everything and paid on signature.

And here is what sets this apart from almost every other key account management role in the market. You will receive a personal onsite introduction to every account from the Chief Revenue Officer. Not a cold handover. Not a login to old CRM notes. A proper transition with context, history and commercial clarity so you start with trust already in the room.

This is not a role for someone who hides behind remote meetings. It is for the person who can walk into a room and command trust. Someone who can protect a strategic, high value account and still find the revenue that only appears when a customer feels genuinely looked after.

Some account managers get trusted with the accounts that matter. Some get trusted with the ones that have just been onboarded. I am looking for the rare person trusted with the accounts that underpin the business. The company is serious. The customer base is loyal. The culture is strong. And as a Channel Sales Academy training client, we know the board personally, the expectations and the type of person who succeeds there.

If you are the person a business turns to when the stakes are high and the account is important, then a confidential conversation is worth having. No recruiter hype. No exaggerated promises. No "just send me a CV". Just a proper conversation.
