We are looking for an experienced HR professional with a strong background in Employee Relations and a good understanding of Jersey Employment Law. We're seeking a People Business Partner to join our People Team, supporting managers across the business with complex employee relations matters and providing expert guidance on employment legislation, policy, and best practice. This is not a traditional HR generalist role. Approximately 70% of the position is focused on Employee Relations, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys managing complex casework and partnering with leaders to resolve people challenges effectively and fairly.
Key areas of focus include:
- Managing and advising on disciplinary, grievance, capability and attendance management cases
- Conducting investigations and supporting formal hearings
- Coaching and guiding managers through complex employee relations matters
- Ensuring compliance with Jersey Employment Law and HR best practice
- Mitigating organisational risk through sound employment relations advice
- Building trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business
We're looking for someone who has:
- Significant Employee Relations experience at People Business Partner or Senior HR Adviser / Consultant level
- Good working knowledge of Jersey Employment Law (Guernsey legislation knowledge would be advantageous)
- Proven experience handling complex disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management cases
- The confidence to influence, challenge and coach managers at all levels
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above preferred)
