The Role: We’re looking for an experienced Service & Commissioning Engineer to join our Channel Fire operation, working on high‑value, safety‑critical fire suppression and specialist systems across the South East. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys fault‑finding, solving problems on live sites, and taking ownership of work from diagnosis through to safe resolution. You’ll be trusted to represent the business on site and work closely with customers, contractors and internal teams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Service, fault‑find and commission gas suppression and fire protection systems
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and safely
- Carry out commissioning activities to a high professional standard
- Work independently on client sites, with support from a strong technical team
- Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues on progress and outcomes
- Travel to sites as required (overnight stays where necessary)
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong fault‑finding and commissioning experience in a technical engineering environment
- Experience with gas suppression systems (essential)
- Power generation or power systems experience desirable (but not essential)
- Confident communicator – professional with customers and calm under pressure
- Comfortable working away from home when required
- Full, clean UK driving licence
