As a member of the security installation team, you will be responsible for undertaking various pre-planned and reactive maintenance tasks and new installation works encompassing either CCTV, Access Control, or Security Systems equipment. You must demonstrate knowledge of Security System British/EN Standards and knowledge of SSAIB Standards. You will be required to participate in the company's on-call rota and take responsibility for all assigned projects from commencement to completion, ensuring that our work adheres to all company policies and procedures.

You will be required to work on several projects and can multitask and plan critical requests from clients. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include:

  • Installation, servicing/maintenance, testing, commissioning of Intruder Alarm Systems – IP and Analogue Surveillance Systems (CCTV) and Access Control Systems or related equipment, following drawings of electrical layouts and building plans in accordance with relevant Codes of Practice/Policies.
  • Providing a quality installation in the most methodical and efficient manner, including the ability to digest detailed scope of works and working drawings.
  • Liaising with the monitoring station.
  • Producing high-quality commissioning and handover documentation and as-fitted drawings.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment and having an excellent understanding of Health and Safety, i.e., Method, Risk assessments, safe working procedures, etc.
  • Client training and demonstration of systems to explain the working and functionality.
  • Responding to out-of-hours service calls.

Person Specification

  • Demonstrate at least 3 years previous experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrate a general knowledge of all Security Systems.
  • Excellent administration skills with an understanding of the importance of paperwork and the accuracy and timeliness of such documentation.
  • Full Driving License.
  • Employment will be subject to successful BS7858 security screening.
  • Must be willing to work away.
  • Knowledge of IP Systems/Networking.
  • Knowledge of any of the following: Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, and Intercom using a range of equipment including Paxton, Dahua, Texecom, Ajax, Avigilon, Hikvision.
  • Team Player: working collaboratively, sharing knowledge and experiences to deliver the best solutions.
  • Effective at resolving issues, demonstrating honesty, loyalty, and commitment.
  • Can train others, especially apprentices.
