Technology Project Management Apprentice

Job Title: Technology Project Management Apprentice

Job Description

This apprenticeship is part of Channel 4’s C4 Apprenticeship Programme. Apprentices will spend four days a week working within a C4 department, gaining hands‑on experience and completing formal learning on the remaining day. You will work 60% of your week from the office and 40% from home. Training is delivered through workshops, tutorials, webinars, coaching and, where appropriate, residential boot camps.

Eligibility

  • Must be 18 years or older at the start of the scheme.
  • Have a Grade C (4) or above in English and Mathematics GCSEs.
  • Have not previously completed a comparable qualification.
  • Targeted at school leavers and individuals without a degree; those holding a degree should apply elsewhere on the Channel 4 Jobs website.

Department Description

The Channel 4 Technology Service Management team ensures user experience meets contract obligations, supports users, leads service enhancement and drives the roll‑out of new technology. The ITSM Change Delivery Team delivers changes to infrastructure, networks and the workplace to maintain a secure, resilient and modern IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support weekly monitoring of project status.
  • Ensure projects adhere to ITSM project management standards.
  • Assist with documentation management and standardisation.
  • Prepare and deliver reports to ITSM and wider stakeholders.
  • Facilitate supplier queries on bids and invoices.
  • Escalate issues to the Senior Portfolio Manager.
  • Support purchase requisitions and the creation of purchase orders.

Hybrid Working

From September 2023, C4 operates a 60/40 working pattern: three office days per week and one remote day. Office locations are open five days a week.
