Department Description: Commercial Marketing sits at the heart of Channel 4 Sales, shaping how we show up in the advertising industry. Working collaboratively across Channel 4 departments, the team creates standout work across presentations, social content, digital platforms, and live events. Job Purpose: Reporting to the Commercial Marketing Leader, this new role sits at the heart of the Channel 4 Sales team. Working closely with stakeholders from across the commercial team, you will create exceptional, standout designs that turn advertising strategies into persuasive visual stories. Highly creative and commercially minded, you will produce compelling assets that empower our sales team in their go-to-market activity. This will include everything from designing executive-level presentations and one-pagers to social media content and event collateral across print and digital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the sales team to understand client requirements and translate them into compelling presentation decks, one-pagers, and leave-behind materials.
- Ensure all design work is fully accessible and representative, adheres to brand guidelines, with templates maintained for easy reuse.
- Support the Commercial Marketing Exec with the creation of social media and digital assets that align with Channel 4 Sales social strategy, content calendar, and promotional activities, focusing on video creation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align visual output with marketing, messaging, and sales goals.
- Design sales event materials and support, including event signage, digital screens, print materials, and presentations for speaking slots.
- Provide version control, maintain asset libraries, and ensure all files are stored and delivered in an organized way for reuse by sales teams.
- Establish strong working relationships with Channel 4's other creative departments.
- Stay current with design trends, digital/social best practices, and event/experiential design innovations.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in a design role, ideally supporting sales or marketing teams.
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and executing designs in PowerPoint, with familiarity of digital design tools such as Canva and Figma.
- A portfolio showcasing ability to deliver across both digital and print channels with compelling layouts, attention to typography, colour, imagery, and brand consistency.
- Organised, with great time-management skills and ability to manage multiple briefs and deadlines.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and a commercial mindset.
- A pro-active mindset, able to work independently and collaboratively.
