About the Apprenticeship

The C4 Apprenticeship Programme provides full‑time work experience combined with formal learning. You will work four days a week in the Insight Business Partner team and use one day for apprenticeship training. 60% of your week will be in the office and 40% from home. Training includes workshops, tutorials, webinars, coaching and occasional boot camps. The qualification offered is Market Research Executive Level 4.

Eligibility

  • 18 years old or over when the scheme starts (no upper limit)
  • Grade C (4) or above in Maths and English GCSE
  • Have not already completed the qualification or an equivalent at a higher level

Department Overview

The Insight Business Partner team is part of Audience Insight. Business Partner areas include Commercial & Distribution, Content, Marketing Corporate & Exec and Streaming & Social. The Business Partner team works with stakeholders to turn data and analysis into clear stories that guide strategy and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Insight Business Partner and wider team by collecting information and understanding project needs.
  • Gather and organise data from various sources, spotting patterns and key findings.
  • Learn and use analytics tools to explore data, track performance and generate insights.
  • Support research projects on audience behaviour, trends and performance in streaming and social media.
  • Create clear reports, presentations and visuals that translate data into engaging stories.
  • Use research and industry tools (e.g. BARB, TGI) to understand audiences across platforms.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns, content or other initiatives using data and research.
  • Collaborate with teams across Audience Insight and the wider business to share insights.
  • Support Channel 4 Sales in helping media agencies and brands plan and deliver marketing activity.
  • Develop an understanding of advertising across TV, Streaming and social platforms to demonstrate value.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Verbal and written communication – e.g. dealing with customers, writing emails or reports.
  • Attention to detail – e.g. proofreading, cashing up.
  • Organisation and prioritisation – e.g. event planning, balancing coursework and work.
  • Passion for Channel 4’s remit.
  • Mathematics & English GCSE Grade C (4) or above.
  • Curiosity about data and audiences, especially in streaming and social platforms.
  • Strong communication skills – explain ideas clearly across teams.
  • Willingness to learn new analytics, research and storytelling skills.

Basic Salary

£24,328.00 per annum (starting salary).

Hybrid Working
